Statistical randomization test for QCD intermittency in a single-event distribution
A randomization test was developed to determine the statistical significance of QCD intermittency in single-event distributions. A total of 96 simulated intermittent distributions based on standard normal Gaussian distributions of size N=500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 4000, 8000, 16000, and 32000 containing induced holes and spikes were tested for intermittency. Non-intermittent null distributions were...
متن کاملHeterogeneous Fluorescence Intermittency in Single Layer Reduced Graphene Oxide.
We provide, for the first time, direct experimental evidence for heterogeneous blinking in reduced graphene oxide (rGO) during photolysis. The spatially resolved intermittency originates from regions within individual rGO sheets and shows 1/f-like power spectral density. We describe the evolution of rGO blinking using the multiple recombination center (MRC) model that captures common features o...

Debugging distributed applications is a di cult but essential task. Event-visualisation tools simplify this e ort by providing graphical views of executions. Although such tools help in understanding distributed applications, they are frequently insu cient for full debugging purposes. The need for traditional debugging operations is often overlooked when building these tools. One of the most us...

The possibility to study intermittency in a single event of high multiplicity is investigated in the framework of the α−model. It is found that, for cascade long enough, the dispersion of intermittency exponents obtained from individual events is fairly small. This fact opens the possibility to study the distribution of the intermittency parameters characterizing the cascades seen (by observing...
متن کاملA Mthod for Generating the Turbulent Intermittency Function
A detection method based on sensitization of a squared double differentiated signal is developed which discriminates the turbulent zones from laminar zones quite accurately. The procedure adopts a variable threshold and a variable hold time of the order of the Kolmogorov time scale. The output file so generated, includes all the information for further analysis of the turbulent signal.
